Being at the top of Kosovo and surrounded by the amazing view that only Gjeravica Peak can provide, it may feel like a dream but trust us, it’s real. Gjeravica is one of the most beautiful hikes of the mountains in Kosovo; at the same time is the highest peak of Kosovo mountain with an altitude (2656m). On the way to the peak, we will encounter many glacial lakes of big and small scales. Gjeravica Lake is the largest lake and it is located under the summit which gives a great reflection, and it is large enough to enjoy a swim. The origin of the lake is from the Erenik River.
What is on offer:
A moderate hike; not so hard to climb even for beginners.
The sight of Albania, Montenegro, and Kosovo all at once and in one magnificent gaze.
The hospitality of locals, where we can enjoy a traditional lunch of flija (savory pastry filled with cream) and a Turkish coffee after that.
Overnight camping spot by the glacial lake beneath Gjeravica Peak.
Swimming at the coldest mountain lake of Kosovo - Gjeravica Lake.
